TPH J CYPRESS (Japan Cypress) Hinoki
Simple shape and cypress scent
Kiso cypress has a very beautiful grain, is highly antibacterial, and has a clean scent, making it the perfect material for paper holders. We made a tissue paper holder using the ``pulling bend'' technique that has been passed down in Japan since ancient times. This item will upgrade your living space with its plain wood grain and chevron-shaped design that will look great in both modern Japanese spaces and stylish Western spaces .
Inverted V-shaped paper is sandwiched between two holders (trays) and taken out from above. A hemispherical metal fitting is embedded in the back of the upper tray to improve the sliding of tissues. The friction with the tissue and the mirror surface of the metal fittings make it slippery. The rods on both sides that control the movement of the two trays add just the right amount of weight, making paper removal smoother.
It is finished using only polishing , using a "white wood finish" that takes advantage of the characteristics of Kiso cypress. The more you use it, the more the color and luster will change, and the more you use it, the more you will love it.
paper setting
If you stack a large amount of tissue paper, it will be difficult to pull it out and cause the tissue to break. Also, Commercially available tissue paper varies slightly in size and thickness depending on the manufacturer. Considering stability when using, please use approximately half the amount of one box (height approximately 30 mm).
*Tissue paper containing moisturizing ingredients is very soft, so it may tear due to the weight of the upper tray when removing the paper from the holder. Also, if you take the tissue paper out of the box and use it, the moisturizing ingredients may be lost.
We recommend using tissue paper that does not contain moisturizing ingredients.
Nagano Prefecture Kiso Hirasawa
One type of Kiso lacquerware is a set called ``Sowa-zen.'' This bowl features a uniquely beautiful curve made using a technique called ``turning and bending''. It was a main product made in Kiso Hirasawa, Nagano Prefecture, the hometown of Kiso lacquerware. As lifestyles changed, the custom of using a set meal disappeared, and as the people making it became older, the number of people making it began to decline. TPH J CYPRESS Hinoki was born with craftsmen who want to pass on the 300-year-old tradition of Kiso lacquerware and the various techniques cultivated by our predecessors to the future. Each item is carefully made using the traditional Sowazen technique.
